In which you meet Mallorie, a 27 year old living in the suburbs of New York city, who is rather unhappy with her life and decides to improve it by fostering cats. She meets a cast of colorful shelter workers and volunteers, makes some friends and plays some kendo on the side.
In which Mallorie celebrates the high holy days and has a month long visit from her younger sister. Unsurprisingly, she fosters a whole lot of cats and even has some interesting experiences with dogs.
In which Mallorie fosters a tom with a voracious appetite for the wrong things and then goes on a trip to Maine for Thanksgiving with her buddy Ashley. While there they learn the rescue stories of the Epstein clans innumerable pets. She then gets a new foster and celebrates Chanukah with all her pals, learns all about Euro board games and the volume ends with the ever popular cat show arc.
In which Mallorie visits her family both in Puerto Rico and Maine (for Passover), starts going to monthly dinner parties at Melinda's, deepens her friendship with Jon and finally meets him, learns some startling things about Abner and starts doubling down on her love ambitions.
In which, Mallorie finds her shelter, Rab Cat finds his forever home and everyone lives happily ever.
