Trying Something New: Cooking Post 1

This is one of my favorite recipes. I must have gotten it from a cooking magazine once upon a time, but I don't remember which...It's one of my favorite spicy dishes, not too hot on the tongue, but with a really unique flavor profile. Since moving to Denmark I make it with prepared mustard, because I can't find the powder and it still works well. I've served it both with whole wheat pasta and home made cornbread. Like almost all of my receipts, from start to finish, this takes less than 20 minutes.

Afternoon Pork

  • 2 Tbsps White Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 2 tsps chille powder
  • 2 Tbsps brown sugar
  • 1 lb pork (cubed)
  • 2 Tbsps olive oil

Heat oil, add pork and then all other ingredients. Tastes best when served with sliced avocado.

I went through a phase where I subscribed to every cooking magazine I could get in the United States. I'm tempted to that here in Denmark, but publications are a lot pricier and I don't have the time to sit and read the articles. I'm also considering maybe following some food blogs or starting a recipe exchange with people. If anyone knows a good repositories for exciting recipes, let me know!
