This was a real problem. Moms were so competitive that they didn't want to talk to someone with a precocious crawler. It's funny how different it is here. My daughter takes a baby music class and we ran into a precocious crawler today and no one seemed offended that this baby could squirm across the room and theirs couldn't. Though some things don't change, I felt sorry for the boy, because his mom kept grabbing him and wanting him to sit obediently. It's a baby music class for goodness sake, let the baby squirm around like a crazy thing. He wasn't bothering anyone! For the record, I totally let my daughter do what she wants, which is mainly follow the teacher around and stare intently. Though she's been known to steal musical instruments from the adults and sit there determinedly clanging the triangle with it's metal stick while I confused adult tries to figure out if she should take it back from her...
