At børnehave every day this week when we've sat down to have lunch, the baby has wanted lunch too. One of the older kids, I think he's five, is fascinated and confused by it. It's hard to have a conversation in a language you barely speak. The first day he the teacher explained to him how all females can make milk with their breasts, to which he protested that he was sure his mother didn't. By day two he accepted that women can lactate, but wanted to know why. Mammals was apparently not a satisfying answer. The latest is he asked me why breasts make milk and not water and why can't the baby just drink water. Goodness, I wish I could discuss this in English!
