My son has hit that exciting point where he has enough words to really express his opinions (yeah, yeah, yeah, I've heard the crack about talking back, but he didn't need words to have opinions. He's been "talking back" since birth). It's glorious. He can ask specifically for milk or green beans or onions (I'm not trying to make him a health nut, he just has oddly healthy preferences). He can tell me what he's looking at that excites him and what he wants to wear or do. His favorite thing to do is walking up to me and demand "Wala", the closest he can get to "koala", meaning he wants a piggy back. Who wouldn't like koala time?
