I love playing matchmaker. Not for romance, that's sticky, complicated stuff, but for friends. For months and months and months I've been working on creating a support network of other mommy coworkers and it's coming to fruition in a very satisfying manner, but what I love the most is when I get to introduce kidlets to other diminutive humans whom I think they would get along with. Had a play date the other way that went splendidly. We'd been having three family get togethers where one middle child was always odd girl out, so I introduced the family to one with twins her age, as well as a toddler the age of her younger brother. We played Duck Duck Goose to break the ice and within 20 minutes they were all running around like old friends. It was so satisfying and the mother's really hit it off too!
