I've been doing story times every Sunday and the most recent was the most fun. We had six kids (3 families) and everyone was very engaged. My son sat next to me and repeated every line of the book after me. One of the books was Tea with Zayde and we got to have a fun discussion about what everyone called their grandparents (Papa won for male and everyone had a different appellation for their mother's mother.) One little girl's answer to everything was "chicken nugget", which made singing Wheels on the Bus and Monkeys Bed pretty silly. As always, the Mo Willems book was the highlight, though the chicken nugget kid also thrust a random Beatrix Potter book into my hands, which I ended up having to ad lib since it involved a hunter coming and killing the naughty bunny, not really a 2016 message.
