656: Made For Each Other

A happier memory of childhood is driving our dingy. We had one of those rubber zodiacs that was like a giant bumper, couldn't really hurt anything in it and Dad had put a weak motor on the back. I think I was 5 or 6 when he taught me how to drive it and the feeling was sheer power. There is nothing more exciting than being master of this speeding craft that zips around wherever you steer it to. We'd go on cruises in our sailboat or big lobster boat and in the evenings my sisters and I got to take the dingy for a buzz around the new harbor. Every little kid should get to experience the power of driving a small motor boat.
