On the topic of diets, an acquaintance of mine mentioned that he was trying to give up all desserts in an effort to loose weight. I hope it works for him. When my dad did that for three months, he ironically gained 10 pounds. Not sure how that happened…I'm a big fan of instead of giving up something completely, moderate it or make it better for you. Instead of eating a big serving of ice cream, just have a 4th of a cup. Use whole wheat pastry flour when baking and almond butter is an amazing tasty protein rich binder. Yeah, your desserts still end up being high in calorie, but they're calories that will keep you going a lot longer. Also use less sugar, my goodness most American desserts have way too much sugar.
