567: Surprising End Game

Our house is only one property over from the most idyllic little neighborhood, full of big houses, manicured lawns and joyful families. I love to go walking there. Since we live on a main, busy street, I asked our neighbors if I could rake a path through their woods to said neighborhood. They easily agreed and I'm quite happy with my little path. It's a bit rough on the stroller, but overall works. This morning I realized that while I love the path, the local fauna are getting way more use out of it. I've spotted deer on it and minutes ago watched a gorgeous red fox sprint through my yard with a hare in his mouth and then dash down my path. I guess everyone likes a good thruway. Maybe I won't tell the neighbors over there with the chickens about this...
