So, lesson to take away from all this...don't be like me. When you move somewhere new, find out where the hospital is, get yourself a primary care physician, build a support structure and use it. It's easy to think when you're young and healthy that you don't need all that, but it's amazing how fast accidents can happen and how bad they can be when you're not prepared. Even today I stock my medicine cabinet with anti-poison ivy soap, Benadryl, activated charcoal, etc. because hopefully I'll never have to use any of it, but you don't want to find out you need it when your kid has managed to chug some bleach or you're having an allergic reaction to a bee sting. For the record, we keep the bleach way out in the shed as well as any other truly toxic household items!
