I had a friend who once told me derisively about his buddies' fondness for UNO. When he played with them and professed the game to be boring, they told him it was much more fun when you're drunk. He emphatically told them any game that you needed to be drunk to enjoy, was not a good game. I'm pretty much in agreement. My friend Gil Hova, one of the two people that character of Sol is based on, introduced me to Eurogaming and all the awesome stuff out there. It was a real eye opener. I now have my own modest collection and on a fairly regular basis have to explain to people that games have matured beyond Sorry! and that there's a whole lot of them.
