It's interesting how within different ethnic groups there is greater differentiation among different features. For example, most people of European descent it is coloring that is most varied: red hair...blue eyes...etc. In China people pay a lot of attention to eye shape. In the West there tend to be only 2 or 3 shapes, where in China I'd say there are over a dozen. It's been interesting with my son. Most of my Western friends and family have said that he looks like my husband, to which I usually quip is just because they're both half bald. However, the Chinese contingent all comments that he has my half moon shaped eyes, which he does, I just find it interesting that this is the group that actually picks up on it!
