At one point I subscribed to every cooking magazine under the sun, but these days I've only kept the health food ones, because they tend to have the most exciting recipes and most interesting articles. Lately the big thing has been all about full fat protein. While I used this as a great excuse to start buying whole milk, I found it pretty ironic. I still remember when I was in school and the big thing was that all fats were evil and you should eat lots of carbs. Now all carbs are evil and for a few years now it's been conceded that mono saturated fats like avocados are actually really good for you. Now it's some polyunsaturated fats are good for you. I'm waiting for the day when everyone comes to the logical conclusion that everything in moderation can make for a healthy balanced diet. Except maybe high fructose corn syrup. That stuff is evil.
