Like gender, I'm impressed at how young people have crazy about weight. My son is 15 lbs and about 2 months old. He's in the 90th percentile for weight, but only 50th percentile for length. In other words he is a fat little baby, but people get upset when I refer to him as this or call him my little whale, like it's an insult or are quick to tell me that this doesn't mean he'll be obese. I know that. Who do you think he interpreted his cherubic proportions from? I'm proud of his plumpness. In generations past this would help him survive the cold winter better. Even now I think it gives him a slight health advantage and it's certainly giving me and my husband a good workout! I'm going tp try to make it till summer without using a stroller.
