I'm becoming really attached to the red lights we put in the bedroom. The purpose was to be able to see what we are doing while attending to baby needs without making the room artificially daylight bright. The idea is that red does not ping as a daylight color. They work shockingly well, where the equivalent wattage (they're LEDs) isn't that low, the light is so different that I can leave the bedside lamp on for hours and sleep like the room is pitch black. It also does neat things with colors, making veins stand out very starkly against one's skin. I admit I have fun staring in the mirror and looking at the network of blood vessels. It's always fun to observe something new about myself.
